The project “Can’t believe it’s not” is based on the concept of reconstructed materials. We live in a time when technologies has developed to point where we can reconstruct materials and enhanced specific qualities to fit our specializes material needs. Often times can the reconstructed material be more expensive when compared to the original natural material. Reconstructed stone materials from various disturbers has been used to create a series of brooches that questions the status of materials in today’s society. How do we value the man-made artificial in relation to the original and natural.
